The Nortel 8600 Ethernet series provides 10G densities per module/rack which can turn any network into a highly reliable, efficient and cost-effective infrastructure that drives unified communications and critical business applications. The series enables IP Virtual Private Network solutions across the entire campus. Also, Nortel’s Layer 3 virtualization is simple, flexible and easy to deploy. IP Flow Information eXport (IPFIX) IETF RFC 3917 benchmarks network traffic and identifies anomalous day-zero behavior. Split Multi-Link Trunking/Routed Split Multi-Link Trunking — Increases resiliency for the most demanding applications and networks as well as performance as all Layer 2 and Layer 3 links are forwarding traffic. Includes sophisticated mirroring capabilities (i.e., many-to-one, one-to-many, and many-to-many) to enable traffic analysis and IDS/TPS clustering.
