The Cisco 12816 Router is the industrys first proven terabit system available for service providers to build IP/MPLS networks and deploy high-end edge services in a 16-slot, 40 Gigabit/slot full rack chassis that delivers 1.28 Terabits per second switching capacity with high performance, scalability, and proven investment protection. Existing Cisco 12416 and Cisco 12016 systems can be field upgraded to Cisco 12816 40G/slot capacity.
